The onslaught of the worldwide pandemic has taken a toll on both our mental and physical health. Throughout the year, I felt a constant mix of emotions that affected my grasp of certain situations. Nevertheless, I have also learned new ways on how to cope up with our current setup. Here are three ways on how I managed to get moving.

  1. Start your day early and develop an effective morning routine.

One thing I realized is that the time and way you start your day defines your mood for the whole day. During the start of the lockdown, I have been spending my time binge-watching tv-shows up until dawn. As a result, I often wake up when the world starts to shut itself down.

Crafting my morning routine did not only do wonders for my life but got me back on track as well. Make a personalized schedule for you to follow every once in a while. You can start your day by:

  1. Drinking water.
  2. Listen to fun or uplifting songs.
  3. Eat a healthy meal.
  4. Plan your day.

I tell you! Doing these boosts your mood, perfect to start your day, and the next day, and the next.

2. Try new things

Locked up in our own different spaces, we’re presented with limited ways to entertain ourselves. Things I do became the norm, and I eventually got tired of doing such activities. This prompted me to think of creative ideas on how I can make the lockdown bearable.

Meditating is a hobby that is good for your inner-self. It relaxes and strains away your thoughts as you drift with the concept of mindfulness. This is a great hobby, especially for those having a hard time coping with all the stress surrounding them.

Reading new books has also been a hobby of mine recently. Indulging yourself in the imaginative world gives you a diverse cinch of what is in store. This is an excellent escape from our reality.

3. Nourish yourself with healthy food.

Before The government imposed the lockdown, all my life, I have never really tried to satiate myself with healthy and nutritious foods. I always consumed what I liked and disregarded what I need. Eating healthy and planning meals is a crucial component of our current situation today.

Try to lessen your grease, fat, and sugar intake. Strive your best to like the ones you hate. Increase your greens, stock your supplies with organic and fresh needs. Make sure to get the freshest one out of them all. A good and healthy mind embodies a good and healthy body.

A tip to those who hate vegetables, slowly incorporate them into your meals to substitute for something that you usually eat. You can also invent new dishes to suit your taste palette.

These are just some of my tips on starting and moving forward despite the challenges that we are facing. Lift your head, move forward, and continue walking.
